Server Upgrades to Our Managed WordPress Hosting

At Inspry, we are dedicated to continuously enhancing the value and performance of the services we provide to our clients. We’re thrilled to share a significant upgrade to our Managed WordPress Hosting plans. We’ve transitioned from a resource-based hosting model to a page view-based approach, introducing a suite of improvements aimed at boosting reliability, scalability, and speed, delivering at least a 10% faster day-to-day performance for your websites.

Key Changes to Managed WordPress Hosting Plans

  1. Page View-Based Plans
    • 30,000 visits/month as the standard for base plans (higher visits on any custom plans have been adjusted already).
    • Focuses on actual site usage rather than abstract server resources like CPU or RAM that might punish website owners who have more complex plugins. Note there is no change to your current monthly hosting fee.
  2. Increased Storage: 20GB of storage included with every plan, unless you’re already on a higher-tier plan.
  3. One Staging Site: Each plan now includes one staging environment for testing updates or changes.
  4. Server Upgrades: Sites are or have been moved to a new server architecture with significantly improved scaling capabilities and faster performance. This is huge as now you can comfortably handle more users during traffic spikes.
  5. Hourly Database Backups: Hourly database backups replace daily backups, reducing the risk of data loss in the event of an issue, especially for WooCommerce sites.

Why These Changes Are Better for You

  1. Scalable Hosting That Grows with Your Business: The move to a page view-based hosting model reflects a shift to focus on real-world website usage rather than technical server resources like CPU or memory. Here’s why this is beneficial:
    • Predictable Limits: You’ll know exactly how much traffic (visits) your plan supports each month. This clarity helps you scale your site as your traffic grows. Note if you go over, your website will still online, but we will reach out to discuss if the 1.20/1K visits overage fee is necessary.
    • Optimized for Performance: By focusing on visitor counts, we’ve reconfigured our servers to handle traffic more efficiently, especially during high-traffic periods.
  2. A More Generous Storage Allocation: Each base plan now includes 20GB of storage, providing plenty of room for most WordPress sites. This storage covers all your website files, media, and databases, ensuring you can comfortably manage your content without worrying about running out of space. Higher-tier plans come with even more storage, so you’re covered if you need additional capacity.
  3. Dedicated Staging Environments: Every plan now includes one staging site to make development and testing easier and safer. Staging environments let you:
    • Test updates, plugins, or design changes without impacting your live site.
    • Experiment with new features or functionality before making them public.
    • Avoid downtime or errors caused by untested changes..
  4. Faster Day-to-Day Performance: As part of this upgrade, we’ve moved all sites to a new server architecture that’s optimized for speed and scalability. Most clients have already been upgraded and are seeing at least a 10% improvement in day-to-day performance, with even faster speeds during high-traffic periods.
  5. Enhanced Traffic Handling During Surges: One of the standout features of the new server architecture is its ability to handle traffic surges with ease. If your site suddenly experiences an influx of visitors, whether due to a viral post, a marketing campaign, or a seasonal sale, the new servers are designed to scale resources dynamically, ensuring your site remains online and responsive. This is a significant improvement over traditional resource-based hosting, where traffic spikes could lead to slowdowns or even downtime.
  6. Hourly Database Backups: We understand how important your data is, which is why we’ve upgraded from daily backups to hourly database backups. Here’s why this matters:
    • Reduced Data Loss Risk: In the rare event of an issue, such as a plugin failure or accidental deletion, the most recent backup will be much closer to real-time.
    • Peace of Mind: You can trust that your content and user interactions—like orders, comments, or form submissions, are safe.
    • Rapid Recovery: Restoring a site from an hourly backup is quicker and results in minimal downtime, preserving your user experience and protecting your revenue.
  7. Free Upgrade for All Clients: We’re rolling out these upgrades at no additional cost to you. At Inspry, we believe in investing in our clients’ success, and these enhancements are part of that commitment. This upgrade reflects our ongoing dedication to delivering the best value and performance for your WordPress website.

What to Expect Next

The majority of our clients have already been migrated to the new server setup and are experiencing the benefits of enhanced performance. For sites that have not yet been migrated, rest assured that we are managing the process seamlessly behind the scenes to avoid any disruptions. Should we need to make DNS changes or request a temporary pause on content edits, we will reach out to coordinate and schedule these adjustments at a convenient time for you.

There will be no changes to your current monthly pricing, but the updated plan allotments based on visits will take effect starting in January 2025.

If you have any questions about these changes or want to learn more about how our hosting services support your goals, don’t hesitate to reach out. Let’s keep building something great together.
